This configuration allows the 7" 3-Channel monitor to display two cameras in a split-screen configuration when the vehicle's hazard lights are activated.
Connect the Monitor's CAM 3
To display the split-screen, the monitor needs an external output that connects the images, such as the Ranger DVR and/or the 2-Channel Multiplexer, connected to CAM3.
Once the driver's and passenger's side cameras have been connected to the Multiplexer or Ranger:
With a 2-Channel Multiplexer
-
Connect the Multiplex's "Video Out" cable to the monitor's brown CAM 3 connector.
- Use an A/V Extension cable if necessary.
With a Ranger DVR
As its primary function is recording, the Ranger DVR needs an additional output cable and must be configured to display the desired cameras on the monitor.
For the output cable, two options are available: an HDMI to AHD adapter (high-definition) and the DVR to Monitor Interface Cable (standard-definition).
-
HDMI Adapter
- Connect the HDMI end to the port on the back of the Ranger DVR.
- Connect the AHD connector to the monitor's brown CAM 3.
-
DVR to Monitor Interface Cable
- Connect the four-pin end of the cable to the "SD Out" port on the Ranger DVR, referencing the print on the device.
- Connect the AHD connector to the monitor's brown CAM 3.
The Ranger's output can be configured through the Display settings in the device's web interface. For detailed instructions, see the Configure the Displayed Output article.
Configure the Monitor
The monitor's "HAZARDS" configuration displays CAM 3 on the monitor when the blue and white wires receive a vehicle signal simultaneously, as with the hazard lights.
- Verify that the ignition is on and the monitor is powered (the power button should be lit green).

Tap [M] to open the menus and cycle to the “DISPLAY” menu.
