Edit a Picture-in-Picture Display
There are three Picture-In-Picture Displays:
There is some layout configuration flexibility for each display, with the limitation of where other layers are placed. These adjustments can be made through four (4) position and size configurations per layer: X Position, Y Position, Width, and Height.
- The X and Y Positions indicate where each layer begins on the screen. The starting point of the monitor’s display [0,0] and of each layer is the top left corner.
-
The “Width Scale” and “Height Scale” both refer to how much of the screen each layer encompasses. [ 1 ] is the entire screen scale, with the rest of the screen divided by fractions.
- Adjust where the layer begins using the [ - ] and [ + ] buttons of its X and Y positions.
- Adjust the layer size using the [ - ] and [ + ] width and height buttons.

Settings
The main menu’s settings icon opens the device’s settings menu. This displays eight (8) function-specific setting menus.
In Settings: Camera - Parking Line - Language - Trigger - Auto Scan - Power On - Video Format - System -
Camera
Configure how each camera is displayed on the monitor and when it is powered. Prior to changing any specific camera setting, select the camera to configure:
- Open the Settings menu and select the “Camera” icon. This opens the camera configuration screen, which is layered over the feed of the camera being configured.
- Select the camera to configure from the top of the screen (it should be highlighted in green).
In Camera: Change a camera's display name - Mirror a camera's image - Configure the camera's power - Change the camera's volume - Configure the camera's image display
Change a camera's display name
- Tap the gear icon next to "Camera Name."
- Use the touchscreen keyboard to delete and type the new camera display name.
- Tap the arrow in the bottom right corner to return to the previous screen. The new name saves automatically.
Mirror a camera's image
This feature's most common use case is to mirror a rear camera as a backup camera. Mirroring the camera's image on the monitor does not change how it's recorded.
- Toggle the "H Mirror" [ON] to mirror the camera horizontally.
- Toggle the "V Mirror" [ON] to mirror the camera vertically.
Configure the camera's power
By default, the monitor will only power the cameras when active (the power button is lit green). This is configured by the "Automatic Power" toggle, which has three options:
- [OFF] - The camera is on when the monitor is active, the power button is green, and the screen is on.
- [ON] - The camera is on only when displayed on the monitor.
-
[CONSTANT] – The camera is always on when the monitor receives power (the vehicle is on).
-
- Heated Cameras: The PC-1927 requires constant power to remain warm during extreme temperatures.
- Object Detection Systems: Ultrasonic Sensors, Rear Radar, and Side View Radars connected to the monitor will display more effectively when set to constant power.
-
With a Splitter Cable: If the camera is connected to a DVR or Multiplexer in addition to the monitor, the black end of the splitter cable connects to the monitor and the red to the recorder. The device connected to the red end of the splitter provides the camera power and on/off signals.
- Tap the "Automatic Power" toggle to select the camera's power configuration.
Change the camera's volume
- Slide the “Audio” toggle left to lower, right to increase the camera’s volume.
Configure the camera's image display
Changing the camera’s brightness, contrast, color, or sharpness on the monitor does not change the camera’s recorded display. Verify the monitor’s brightness is set before changing the individual camera.
- Slide the “Brightness” toggle left to dim and right to brighten the image.
- Slide the “Contrast” toggle left to lower and right to increase the contrast between the image's colors.
- Slide the “Color” toggle left to lower and right to increase the image's color vibrancy.
- Slide the “Sharpness” toggle left to blur and right to sharpen the image.
Parking Line
The parking lines setting overlays visual guidelines over a selected camera's image to support drivers gauging distances to nearby hazards. Each camera can have its own individually configured parking lines overlay.
Object detection systems (Ultrasonic Sensors, Rear Radar, and Side View Radar) also display overlays over the camera's image, independent of the monitor's configuration.
There are three parking line overlays. Each overlay can be edited to best suit the camera's installation and the driver's needs.
- Open the Settings menu and select the “Parking Lines” icon.
- Select the camera(s) over which parking lines should be displayed and tap their toggle [ON].
- Tap the gear icon next to the camera's toggle to configure the overlay.
- Select the parking overlay for the camera from the three options.
-
Adjust the parking line overlay as needed. Reference the camera's image while making adjustments.
-
-
Each parking overlay is adjusted differently:
-
- Standard – each point in the grid where lines connect can be moved.
- Alternate 1 – Resize the curve and/or change its location.
- Alternate 2 – This is a white box that can be resized and moved.
-
- The “Grid” option displays a grid over the camera's image to support the parking line overlay configuration. Once the configuration is complete, it will no longer display.
- Tap the icon in the top left corner of the screen twice to reset the parking lines to their original display.

Language
The monitor’s language options are English, Spanish, and French.
- Open the Settings menu and select the "Language" icon.
- Select the desired language (highlighted in green).
Trigger
The trigger menu allows users to configure the monitor’s response to the five (5) trigger inputs and three (3) configured trigger combinations. When a trigger wire receives a vehicle signal, the monitor automatically switches to a triggered display for a set amount of time before returning to its previous state.
The monitor’s five (5) trigger wires typically correspond to a color-coded camera.
For each trigger input and trigger combination, there are three configurations:
- Delay – The time (in seconds) the triggered image is displayed on the screen after the wire stops receiving a signal.
- Priority – The triggers and combinations are assigned a priority from one (1) to eight (8), with one (1) being the highest priority. A higher-priority trigger (or combination) will override a lower-priority trigger.
- Display – The camera or screen configuration that the trigger will display.
Each configuration is displayed in a row, with each trigger and trigger combination as a column.
-
For example, in the following configuration, when the “REAR” wire (brown trigger 4) receives a vehicle signal:
-
- “Priority” [1] overrides any other trigger.
- “Display(s)” the [R]ear camera (brown CAM 4).
- The image “Delay(s)” for [3] seconds before the monitor returns to its previous state.
-
-
Open the settings menu and select the "Trigger" icon.
In Trigger: Create a trigger combination - Set the trigger delay - Set the trigger priority - Set the trigger display
