SecuraMax: Sharing a Video

SecuraMax has a sharing feature to allow a video to be viewed by someone that is not a SecuraMax user or by someone in SecuraMax that does not have permission. Videos can be shared in two ways:

1. Individual videos can be shared from within the video's details page.
2. Groups of videos that are part of a case can be shared as a group from the case's details page.

What happens when a video or case is shared?

When a video is shared, the recipient will receive an email notifying them of the share. The email contains a link, if they are a current SecuraMax user it will take them to the home page to see the share, if they are not a SecuraMax user, a link will direct them to create a SecuraMax account, then they will be taken to the home page to see the share.

How can I see what videos or cases that I have shared?

The SecuraMax home page will show files that have been shared to you or files that you have shared.

Clicking on the links will take you to a Document Search results page to show you the associated videos. You can also use just go to the search results page and manually select the filters on the left side: "Shared by Me" and "Shared with Me".

Sharing an individual video:

1. Locate the desired video by using the Document Search function at the top of SecuraMax.
2. Once located, click the button to view the file details.
3. From the file details page, click the "Share button in the upper right corner.
   
   
4. Locate the existing user or enter the email for the new user to sharing the video(s) to.
5. Enter the expiration date for the sharing period.
6. Select the desired permission(s) for the recipient to shared video.
7. Click "Share" to complete the share, the existing/new user will receive an email notifying them of the share.
8. Once a file has been shared, the shared users will show at the top of the share box, the share can be cancelled or modified if needed.
   

Sharing a group of videos using cases:

To share a group of videos, they must be part of a "Case". From the case's detials page one or more videos can be shared. The user who is authorized to share the video accesses the video through the link received via email. The user with shared access, will have a modified screen with limited functionality determined by the permissions granted by the Case owner.

1. Navigate to the "Cases" page within SecuraMax
   
   
2. Select the Case containing the video to be shared, and click the "Details" button to the right.
3. Click on the check box next to the video(s) to be shared, if you wish to share all videos, click the "Select All" button at the top.
   
   
4. Once the files are selected, click the "Share Selected" button at the top.
   
   
5. Locate the existing user or enter the email for the new user to sharing the video(s) to.
6. Enter the expiration date for the sharing period.
7. Select the desired permission(s) for the recipient to shared video.
8. Click "Share" to complete the share, the existing/new user will receive an email notifying them of the share.
