SecuraMax: Microsoft Single Sign-On

SecuraMax's integration with Microsoft's Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to streamline SecuraMax logins through Microsoft's Authentication.

This article includes instructions for:

Admin: Add a New Microsoft User

To add SecuraMax to Microsoft's Single Sign-On accounts, a SecuraMax admin must configure the user's SecuraMax with a valid Microsoft account and enable Single Sign-On permission.

  1. Log in to SecuraMax with an administrator account and navigate to "Admin" > "User Permissions."
  2. Select the [INVITE] button to register a new SecuraMax user.
  3. Enter the new user's Microsoft Email and "Group."
    • Assign the user's "RFID" if applicable.
  4. Click the checkbox next to "Use Microsoft Single Sign On."
  5. Click the [INVITE] button.
    • If adding more than one user, click [INVITE AND INVITE ANOTHER].

Once you've added the user, they will receive a welcome email in their Microsoft account inbox.

User: Register your SecuraMax Account

Once an Admin has invited you to SecuraMax with Microsoft SSO, you'll receive a welcome email that allows you to register and access your SecuraMax account.

  1. Locate the "SecuraMax Welcome Email" in your Microsoft Inbox.
  2. In the email, locate the "To verify your account and log in, click here and set up your account."
    • Click the email's blue highlighted "here."
  3. This will redirect to the SecuraMax site to set up their account. Enter your first and last name in the respective open fields.
  4. Read the "User Terms and Conditions" and click the box left to "Do you accept these terms?" to accept.
  5. Click the blue [Save] button.

User: Log in with Microsoft

  1. The SecuraMax site displays a [Sign in with Microsoft] button at the bottom of the Login section. Click this button to sign in.
  2. If this is your first time logging in with Microsoft, a "Permissions requested" security pop-up will appear. Click [Accept] at the bottom of it.
    • Depending on when you last signed into Microsoft, this may lead to a Microsoft login page or redirect to SecuraMax.
  3. If your account is registered exclusively through Microsoft SSO, typing in an email and password will result in a "Could not find user..." error.
    • Click the [Sign in with Microsoft] button instead. If login issues persist, contact your SecuraMax admin.
