SecuraMax: Requesting Non-Event Video via Live Map

SecuraMax is a Video Management platform used for the storage, organization, and sharing of recorded video files. These features are classified as "Review" as they are looking at data previously captured. SecuraMax also has a "Live" feature that allows real-time data to be viewed. The live data can consist of the online state, currently logged-in user, recording state, and current location, as well as the ability to view and hear live streams from the devices.

The Live feature provides a Request Video option which allows the user to request non-event video that will be automatically uploaded the next time the unit is on a non-metered network connection (BC4 - Wi-Fi or Docking Station, Car Systems - Wi-Fi or LAN). This feature only works if the user has request permissions and the device has background recording enabled.

How to Request Video

1. From the top navigation bar on the SecuraMax Home Page, move the slider button to Live and the  the Live Map page will appear.

2. Locate and select the desired user’s name/device and click on it to expand the device details.

3. There are two ways to Request Video from the drop-down list, select either the:

  • Request Video button (a modal will open to set filters for locating the video), or
  • Locate on Map button. This page will zoom to the device’s location and display a modal with the device details and a Request Video button (shown below).

4. After clicking the Request Video button, a Request Video popup will appear. The user must select the details for the video being requested.

  • Start Time - the user should have an idea of the date and time of the recording. Select the desired date and video start time, then select Apply.
  • Length of Request - enter the desired length of the video (there's a minimum of one minute and a maximum of 60 minutes).
  • End Time - the end time will automatically be calculated.
  • Create Request button - selecting this button submits the request and closes the modal.

4. Click Create Request to create the request. The popup box will disappear and the request will go into a que and will be transferred as soon as the device has network connectivity. Check on the status of pending requests from the Devices card on the SecuraMax home page.
