SecuraMax: Redacting a Video

Redacting a video is taking an original video and removing portions of it to show only relevant content and/or to protect the privacy of people or locations. Redactions are often used when sharing the video with individuals outside of an agency.

Basic Redaction:

Basic redaction is a feature included with every SecuraMax user account and allows for the creation of shortened video clips, removing audio from all or portions of the video, and blurring the overall video to remove detail.

Creating a Basic Redaction:

Allows a user to trim from the beginning or end of the video and audio by electing the bar underneath the video and dragging it to the spot where the video needs to begin and end. This also allows the user to blur the entire video from 0 to 40%.

Viewing a Redaction:

To view a redacted video, click the "Details" button.

Additional options appear on the Video Details page for Sharing, Watching, and Downloading the video.

Advanced Redaction:

Advanced redaction is a feature that is purchased on a per user basis and assigned to specific SecuraMax user account(s). It allows for the creation of shortened video clips, removing audio from all or portions of the video, and blurring the specific objects/face with automatic tracking of movement throughout the video.
