Marker Light Camera

The Marker Light Camera [PC-1910] is an analog, high-definition, compact device that fits into a 2" or 2.5" SAE/DOT-compliant LED marker light and captures a 145° horizontal and 80° vertical field of view in a waterproof  (IP69K) housing.

This discreet backup camera installs in the rear bumper's marker light and does not require any holes to be drilled into the vehicle body.

Mounting

The Marker Light Camera replaces a vehicle's pre-existing marker light.

  1. Select the vehicle marker light that the Marker Light Camera will replace.
    • The centermost light is recommended, as it provides the clearest view of the vehicle's rear.
  2. Remove the selected marker light.
    • Carefully pry the vehicle's marker light and grommet from the vehicle.
    • Disconnect the light from its wiring.
  3. Assemble the camera light.
    • Insert the camera into the center of the provided marker light.
    • Mount the camera to the light with its four (4) mounting screws.
  4. Insert the provided grommet(s) into the vehicle's marker light slot.
    • For 2" marker lights, insert the smaller grommet; the larger one will not be necessary.
    • For 2.5" marker lights, insert the smaller grommet into the larger, and both into the vehicle.
    • Pull the vehicle's original wiring through the grommets for easy connections.
  5. Connect the marker light camera's red 12 Vdc LED power and black ground wires to the vehicle's light wiring.
  6. Run the camera's cable into the vehicle through the marker light slot, then route it towards its connection device.
    1. This could be a monitor, DVR, wireless transmitter, and/or object detection control box.
    2. Use A/V Extension cables to extend the camera's connection up to 30 m, and an A/V Splitter Cable to split the signal between multiple devices as needed.
    3. Follow the vehicle's OEM wiring and paths whenever possible.
    4. Secure the cable to the vehicle's wiring or body.
  7. Insert the camera light into the grommet, rotating the camera so that its white dot is positioned at the top of the lens.
