Pro-Vision cameras are rated to IP69K, which means they are tested to ISO 20653 with the following parameters:
Water temperature: 80°C ± 5°C (tested at 77°C) (170°F)
Water Pressure: 1300 psi
Flow Rate: 4 gal/min
Nozzle: 35°
Spray Distance: 5.5 in
Spray Angle: 0°, 30°, 60°, 90°
Duration: 30 sec each angle
So what does this mean?
It means that, for example, with pressure washing, if you exceed any of the following parameters, you will void the manufacturer's warranty.
Water temperature: 80°C ± 5°C (tested at 77°C) (170°F)
Water Pressure: 1300 psi
Flow Rate: 4 gal/min
Nozzle: 35°
Spray Distance: 5.5 in
What can you do to avoid damaging your camera?
Most power washing units have a low PSI or light-duty setting, which is commonly between 800 PSI and 2000 PSI. If you do not know the PSI of your power washer is below 1300 PSI, DO NOT spray your camera with the power washer. Avoid using the heated option of your power washer if it is greater than 170°F. Avoid spraying a camera at any PSI closer than 5.5 in. Avoid using nozzle settings less than 35°. Avoid using a power washer that has a flow rate greater than 4 gal/min.
