The 7” and 10.1” Quad Monitors are highly configurable 4-channel HD LCDs with touchscreen, button, and remote controls. This article is intended to help users troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions in their Quad Monitor systems. Problem | Possible Cause | Possible Solution |
Unresponsive Touchscreen & Buttons | On Standby Mode – The device’s screen is darkened, and the power button is lit red. | - Press the power button or slide a finger up the screen to switch to active mode. |
Locked Menu – The device doesn’t respond; a lock icon is displayed instead. |
- Unlock the monitor’s screen. |

Triggered Camera – The device doesn’t respond; a single camera feed or split-screen camera configuration is displayed. |
- Verify none of the trigger wires are activated (the turn signals are off, and the vehicle isn’t in reverse, for example). - Ensure the trigger wires have not been connected to a constant hot power source. |

Unstable or Fluttering Picture | The camera’s video format is incorrectly configured. |
- Reset the camera’s video format. (See Configuration: Settings > Video Format). |
The camera’s cables or connections are damaged/not correctly secured. | - Verify that the power harness, camera, and A/V cable connections are secure and sealed. | |
Unstable power and ground connection. | - Verify that the monitor’s ground and power wires are correctly installed with heat-shrink connectors. | |
A monitor or camera component is faulty or damaged. | - Contact Pro-Vision’s support team. | |
Foggy, Unclear, or Darkened Picture | There is moisture, dirt, or scratches on the lens. |
- Inspect the lens for foreign material and clean with a lens cleaner if possible. - If the lens is damaged beyond visibility, it may need to be replaced. |
The camera’s brightness and contrast settings are too low. |
- Adjust the camera’s image display. (See Configuration: Settings > Camera). |

Washed out picture | There is excessive glare on the camera. | - Adjust the camera’s position to reduce glare from the sun/lighting. Use the monitor’s view when angling the camera. |

No LED power light | Blown fuse. | - Replace the 3A fuse connected to the monitor’s power cable. |

- Disconnect and securely reconnect the camera. - Test the A/V extension with a different camera. - Test the camera using a different harness input. - Visually examine the camera’s A/V cable for any damage. |

The temperature is lower than the camera’s operating temperature. | - Except for the heated camera, all Pro-Vision cameras have an operating temperature range of -4°F to 158°F. If the vehicle regularly operates in extremely low temperatures, heated cameras are recommended. | |

The camera signal is being disrupted by other electronic equipment. | - Move the camera to a new location away from other electronic equipment. | |
Audible feedback | The camera selected for the audio feed is too close to a monitor or another camera. |
- Select a different camera for the audio feed, or turn the audio feed off if prioritizing the camera’s view. - Relocate the camera to a new location. |
The monitor’s volume is too high. |
- Lower the monitor’s volume. (See Configuration: Main Menu > Volume). |
