The CloudConnect Live Map interface provides the user with a live view of a fleet's geographic location and the exact live or last-known location of each user/device.
To use Live Map, the user must be given specific permissions by their CloudConnect site admin. For more information on permissions for live features, see CloudConnect: Managing Live Permissions.
Opening the Map

Select the [Live] button from the left navigation pane.
- If there is no live button, the user does not have live permissions. Should users need live features, they should contact their CloudConnect admin.

The page will transition to the Live Map Site, which shows a list of active and inactive devices in the left navigation pane and the map view.
- Active devices are color-coded green, while inactive devices are grey and show an "OFFLINE" icon. The list is ordered alphanumerically, with active devices on top.

If multiple devices are within an area(s), this will be indicated as a highlighted cluster with a number representing the number of devices. To automatically zoom into the area, click the highlighted cluster.
Locating a Specific Device

Locate and click on the desired device from the left navigation pane to toggle open the device details and actions.

Use the search bar in the top left corner to narrow down results if needed.

Click the [Locate on Map] button.

The Live Map will update automatically to display the device's current or last known location.
- Zoom further out to view nearby devices.
- To zoom in and out, use the mouse trackball or the [+] and [-] symbols on the bottom right corner of the map.
Viewing Unit Details

Selecting a unit will display its details: An icon showing its status, the device name, serial number, online cameras for active devices, a "Last Connected" time frame for inactive devices, and the current or last known location.
Additional Actions
When opening the device details in both the map and left navigation pane views, the user may see two more blue buttons, depending on the user's assigned permissions:

View Live - allows the user to open the View Live app to see the device's live video feed.

Request Video - allows the user to request non-event video. To do this, the camera must have "Background Recording" active, and the user must have a time frame in mind.
- By default, in-car systems will have background recording enabled.
