The CloudConnect Live feature allows users to view real-time data from devices. This data consists of the devices' online state, recording state, and current location, as well as the ability to view and hear live streams from the devices.
What devices can be viewed live?
Live features require a real-time (4G) data connection. CloudConnect Plus provides customers with 4G devices serviced with Pro-Vision data plans. While the basic CloudConnect does not include data plans, live features are available with 4G devices on self-provided data or on devices connected to a 4G network via Wi-Fi to a mobile hotspot.
The connection-capable devices are:
- BODYCAM4 - Wi-Fi connection only
- 4G BODYCAM4 - 4G or Wi-Fi connection
- PD-1902 Ranger DVR - Wi-Fi connection only
- PD-1902 Ranger 4G DVR - 4G or Wi-Fi connection
Who can view live devices?
Live features are available to all CloudConnect customers and assigned to users or user roles by a site administrator. Users assigned live permissions will only see live devices within their selected group permissions.
How does a user view live information?
If the user has Live feature permissions, "Live" will appear as an option in the left-hand menu to navigate to the live map page.
The Live Map
The interactive live map provides an immediate view of a fleet’s geographic locations. The page ensures users can access real-time device status and location of their entire fleet, efficiently request video from a unit, or navigate to a vehicle's live video.
The left navigation pane displays a list of the devices registered with live features. The list indicates the unit's status (color-coded: green = active, gray = inactive) and a drop-down with device details.
Users can filter the device list to reduce the presented data, allowing them to focus on a specific location, segment of their fleet, or type of device.

Live View
The live view feature lets users see the real-time video feed from active devices. There are two different ways to start live view from a device/user:
From the live map:
Locate and click the device name, then click "VIEW LIVE." If there are multiple devices, the search function (top, left navigation pane) can narrow the results when locating the device. The PV Live desktop application will open and display the live stream from the selected device.
From the Live View Application
Locate the "Live View" application shortcut on the desktop or in the Start menu, and click the icon to launch the application. The application will authenticate to the CloudConnect account, then prompt the user to select the device(s) to view. Click the [Select Device/Camera] button, then select the desired unit to view.
