A/V Splitter Cable

The A/V (Audio-Video) Splitter Cable [PD-1456/8050018] takes a single camera input and splits it into two outputs. This is typically used to split a camera's output so it can be recorded and displayed simultaneously; however, a camera can be output to any two compatible devices.

The cable consists of three parts: the "To Camera" input, a black "To Monitor" output, and a red "To DVR" output, which also powers the camera. The red output cable is typically connected to a DVR to ensure the camera remains powered for continuous recording, even when the monitor is off.
