Once the Stop Arm Camera Gen2 is installed, connect to the Ranger DVR to view the camera's feed, verify the stop arm trigger is working correctly, and create an install report.
Connect to the Ranger DVR
Requirements
To connect to the Ranger DVR, you'll need:

A smart device with Wi-Fi capabilities.
- A laptop is the recommended device.

The device's Wi-Fi name and password.

If needed, follow the instructions to recover the network's credentials.
- A laptop with an Ethernet port and an Ethernet cable are required for this process.
- Reconnect the camera to the Ranger after recovering the credentials.

The Ranger's Wi-Fi must be configured to Access Point mode.

If the Ranger uploads data automatically and/or you cannot locate its network, it's configured to "Client Mode." Follow the instructions to temporarily change the Ranger's network mode.
- A laptop with an Ethernet port and an Ethernet cable are required for this process.
- Switch the Ranger back to client mode via Wi-Fi once the testing is complete.

Connect to the DVR's Wi-Fi
- Turn the bus key and verify that the DVR's status LED or the event marker button lights up solid green.

Locate and select the Ranger's network on the smart device's Wi-Fi settings.
- The default Wi-Fi name will begin with “PV_Ranger_xxxxxx”. The last 6 characters are unique to the DVR unit.
- The default Wi-Fi password doesitall
- Open a web browser on the device and type 192.168.1.254 to open the Ranger’s webpage.
View and Test the Camera
View the Camera's Images
- On the Ranger's web interface, click "Settings" (top right corner).

Select "Stop-Arm Camera" from the drop-down menu.
- If the page doesn't load correctly, check the Ranger's firmware version to verify it's been updated. Firmware version 1.12.6 or newer is required to use the Stop Arm Camera Gen2.

- If prompted, log in with username admin and password doesitall
- Once the stop arm page loads, it will display live images from all three camera lenses.
- Verify all three camera images are present.

If this is a Retrofit install and the Ranger was previously connected to the dual-lens stop arm camera, the Ranger may be configured to display only two cameras.
- Click the [Update (Reset)] button to remove the previous configuration.

After the reset, the three camera views should display.

Verify that the camera image displays a "SARM" when the stop arm is deployed.

Create the Installation Report
Continuing on the Ranger's "Stop-Arm" page:
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the "Installation Testing" instructions. Follow the instructions as they appear on the page.

Click the [Create Install Test Report] button.

- The Install test will be saved in an "Install" folder on the Ranger DVR.

On the top bar of the Ranger's webpage, select "View Files," then "SD Card."
- Or, the form of storage the ranger has.
- Locate the "Install" folder.

Click the download button [
] at the end of each file in the install folder.
- The folder should contain still images from all cameras connected to the Ranger and a ".txt" file logging the camera's connectivity, firmware versions, and the DVR's overall status.
- Locate and open the Ranger's files downloaded on the device.
- Looking at the Stop Arm Camera Gen2 files, verify that all three (3) camera lens images are as expected.
- Save the folder to the computer (or the device's) local storage to serve as an installation record.
- Complete the Ranger DVR configuration process for the installation.
If the Ranger was originally configured for wireless transfer
- On the Ranger's webpage, open the "Settings" menu and select "Network."

In the "Wi-Fi Mode" drop-down menu, select "Client Mode."
- Verify it is connected to the correct network. Check its status in CloudConnect if uncertain about its successful connection.
